To the handbookWhat Tailkeeper is
Tailkeeper is the bookkeeping for aircraft co-ownerships: flight log, costs, payments, funds, maintenance, calendar and the annual statement of every owner in one place. It calculates by day: on every day the shares of that day apply, and every cent ends up with exactly one owner or shows up as "not assigned".
- For the co-ownership: one accountant books, every owner sees their own account, flights and balance.
- For maintenance: due dates by operating hours, landings and date with traffic lights, defects with AOG.
- For guests, flight schools and charter: a calendar at the level of detail you choose, and flights as suggestions.
What this handbook covers
This handbook goes further than the guide in the app. It explains every page of the app and shows with examples, figures and calculations how Tailkeeper works: fixed costs over the days, cost per flight hour, flight types, income, funds, the account of every owner and the annual statement.
- Public are this overview, the frequent questions and the test calculators. With them you try out how Tailkeeper calculates without an account; they use the same calculation core as the app.
- The whole handbook opens once you are signed in and one of your co-ownerships has a running trial or a paid licence. Both count the same.
Signing in
You sign in with your Tailkeeper account, as in the app. If you are already signed in to the app, no new password is needed: the handbook asks the app, and you are back a moment later.
- No account yet? Create one in the app and set up your co-ownership; the trial starts right away and opens this handbook too.
- If the trial or licence of all your co-ownerships has ended, the handbook shows a note with the way to the shop instead of the chapters.
- Signing in to the handbook only counts here. Signing out of the app does not sign you out here; close the browser or delete the cookies of tailkeeper.info for that.
